    To determine and report more accurately the impact of government expenditures on the rest of the economy, the net amount of government purchases by standard object is determined. All organizations, including those using revolving funds, charge their expenditures for purchases to standard object expense categories, which are the highest level of object classification used for parliamentary and executive purposes. They are reported in the Main and Supplementary Estimates and the Public Accounts.
