We are pleased to announce the release of version 1.1 of the Government of Canada Open Data License Agreement, which addresses a number of key challenges identified by Canadians in feedback on the site received to date. 

As part of the Government of Canada Open Data Portal pilot project, we will continue to monitor and consider national and international best practices, as well as feedback from Canadians, in the licensing of federal open data.
